Apple Announces Smart Speaker, Device Upgrades, and iOS 11

It includes new features for watchfaces, such as a new Siri-based watchface. Making the most of it will require a subscription to Apple's own music streaming service, which runs $10 to $15 per month and has attracted 27 million subscribers so far. The company says Siri will use on-device learning to accomplish this, returning better results that are synchronized across devices but also encrypted. Apple is introducing monthly goals and will deliver notifications to users that are approaching new streaks, in the hope of boosting motivation.

Apple's entry into the market could change this. During Jobs' last decade, Apple introduced the iPod, iPhone and iPad - all huge commercial successes that both reshaped daily life and swamped previous digital music players, smartphones and tablets. It would mark an effort by Apple to catch up with Amazon and Google.

Next up was Apple's new version of macOS called High Sierra, which was launched with new Safari browser.

Philip Schiller, Apple's senior VP of Worldwide Marketing, led the section about the HomePod and described it as packing 'powerful speaker technology, Siri intelligence and wireless access to the entire Apple Music library'. It will block videos that start playing automatically, for instance, and can also prevent ads from following and profiling users.

HomePod capped a keynote presentation at Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference that included updates to its iPad and Mac laptop lines, and upgraded operating software enabling augmented reality for iPhones and iPads.

Most with an iPhone or iPad will be used to iOS 10, the most recent version of Apple's mobile operating system. More often than not, graphics are overlooked in many of Apple's machines. "We listened. Amazon Prime Video is coming to the TV App and all Apple TVs this year".

With Apple Pay, users will now be able to make person-to-person payments much like Venmo or Square Cash.

Apple said the features, such as voice recognition of Shanghai dialects and warning consumers for suspicious incoming calls, are going to be built in the new iOS 11, the next generation of iPhone and iPad which will be officially released in fall, Apple said in the WWDC, its biggest developer conference held annually.
