Former Eagles CB Brandon Boykin signs with Ravens

Most recently Shabazz was in Pittsburgh where he spent most of last season, though Shabazz also played in Houston last season.

The move comes just days after Baltimore's nickel corner Tavon Young tore his ACL, an injury that will cause Young to miss the upcoming season. He signed with the Carolina Panthers during free agency in 2016 but was cut about two months later and joined the Bears. The 26-year-old then joined the Chicago Bears in July before being placed on injured reserve with the pectoral injury one week after arriving in the Windy City.

Boykin was a fourth-round pick of the Eagles in 2012 and showed a lot of promise, starting four games at cornerback as a rookie. He missed the entire 2016 season because of a concussion and was entering the final year of a three-year contract with the Ravens. He last played for the Steelers in 2015.

Arrington's release, meanwhile, ends his disappointing tenure in Baltimore and creates $2.1 million in salary cap space. Shabazz has primarily been a practice squad player, but he played in seven games for the Steelers last season, recording one tackle.

Arrington's release is a result of a failed physical according to the Baltimore Sun's Jeff Zrebiec.

They added cornerback Brandon Carr and safety Tony Jefferson in free agency, while selecting Alabama cornerback Marlon Humphrey in the first round of this year's draft.
