Grande to return to stage Sunday for Manchester benefit show

One Love Manchester will take place at Manchester's Emirates Old Trafford venue and will raise money for victims of the May 22 attack at a Grande concert in the same city.

The performance was particularly poignant because two members of the choir were at the USA singer's concert at the Manchester Arena when a suicide bomber detonated a nail bomb last month.

Grande was emotional and teary-eyed throughout the One Love Manchester concert Sunday, which the British Red Cross said it raised more than £10 million ($13 million) for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund, created for those affected by the attack at Grande's May 22 show.

The 23-year-old star arrived on stage an hour into the show, for which there were extra security measures in place following Saturday night's terror attack in London.

Unity and love were among the positive messages that echoed as Ariana Grande returned to Manchester, England, for an all-star concert. "I ❤️ you very much!".

"All we feel here tonight is love, resilience and positivity and you know what, I hate to be corny, but it makes me ..."

Watch the One Love Manchester concert live on Channel 9, Monday at 8.45pm.

Stacie Richardson and James Bend, both 19, say there were shaken after the May 22 attack at Manchester Arena.

The "Malibu" singer also noted Grande's strength as a role model.

Grande performed throughout the show, even collaborating with others onstage.

"(God) loves you and he's here for you.

Disney's young adult cable network Freeform will air the full concert live at 2 p.m. EDT on Sunday. The song includes the lyrics: "But you are not alone in this, and you are not alone in this, as brothers we will stand and we'll hold your hand".

It's been reported for some time that Ariana Grande was going to return to Manchester, after the tragic event that happened after one of her tour dates. Last night, a further attack on London Bridge claimed the lives of seven people.

On Friday, Grande visited some of her injured fans at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.

The show opened with a minute of silence for those killed and injured in the attack.

The Canadian pop star led the 50,000 strong crowd in chants of "love, love, love" as he took to the stage to perform Love Yourself and Cold Water.
