Iran Dismisses White House Statement on Terror Attack as

Iranian police say they have arrested several suspects in their investigation into the attacks on parliament and the tomb of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, who led the 1979 revolution against the US -backed shah and is considered the founder of the Islamic republic.

Iranian officials have arrested seven people suspected of helping militants involved in this week's attacks in the capital Tehran, a judiciary official said on Saturday. He said the twin attacks on parliament and the tomb of former leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini "will not damage the Iranian nation's determination".

On Thursday, Iranian authorities said the assailants were Iranian nationals and they have arrested six suspects, including one woman, since the attacks.

The ministry said the men had fought for IS in Mosul, Iraq, and Raqqa, Syria, before returning to Iran last August.

Also, Trump, contrary to his campaign remarks, praised the U.S. -Saudi "strategic partnership" and made Iran the focus of his anti-terrorism rhetoric.

"Allah permitting, this brigade will be the first of jihad in Iran, and we ask our brothers the Muslims to follow us, as the fire that was ignited will not be put out, Allah permitting", one of the masked fighters said, according to SITE.

Publicly, the Iranian leadership has sought to cast blame for the attacks on its favorite targets: Saudi Arabia, the United States and Israel.

Following a series of sophisticated intelligence operations and with the cooperation of the families of some of the terrorists, 41 elements of ISIS Wahhabi group were identified and arrested before conducting any act of terror, the ministry said in a statement on Friday. "Lots of documents and weaponry have been seized as well".

We grieve and pray for the innocent victims of the terrorist attacks in Iran, and for the Iranian people, who are going through such challenging times. As reports said, several armed people tried to break their way into the Parliament building.

During the funeral, parliament Speaker Ali Larijani called the US the "international" version of the Islamic State and said Washington had exchanged democracy for money, a reference to a recent arms deal between the USA and Saudi Arabia.
